Come celebrate Chinatown's Centennial with the showcase of Sien Lok's photo exhibit "Builders and Patriots Part II - A History of Calgary's Chinatown" now at The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre

As a sequel to the original 2005 photo exhibit, "Builders & Patriots: Portraits of Chinese Canadians," this exhibit will focus on the history of Calgary's Chinatown from its very beginnings! "Builders and Patriots Part II" aims to inspire, educate and celebrate the proud history of Chinese Canadians in Calgary.

Categories for the exhibition include a history of important buildings, businesses, organizations and associations. Also included will be a selection of notable events, residents and the personal stories of people and families related to these topics. Please join us in celebrating Chinatown's 100th Anniversary and the completion of our Legacy Project "Builders & Patriots II: A History of Calgary's Chinatown." Come out and see our photo exhibit now displayed at The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre, 197 First Street SW, until October 31, 2010, Monday-Sunday 9am - 6pm.
